My newest adventure is underway. It has lead me to take up residency in a new blog,
Like the Feathers of an Arrow (affectionately known as LFA).

3 Last Call: Pink Shines

pink tickles
like a feather boa
draped along the shoulders

pink sparkles
like a dazzling jewel
adorning a delicate finger

pink flares
like a plush skirt
twirling about the legs

pink glitters
like nail polish
painted upon toe nails

pink shouts “look at me”
like the little girl
dressed to the nines

This has been a crazy week...and it is not even over yet.  I'm cheating on this Last Call in two ways.  First, I'm using an old poem instead of writing a new one.  It was written during my off period (while hiding in my happy place).  Second, I am skipping the reading that normally accompanies this Last Call.

This is my offerings for this week's dVerse Poets Pub OpenLinkNight. If you get a chance, check out all of the talented poets who have stepped up into the spotlight.

  1. i like pink...its one of those in your face colors...and calls attention to itself...i like the images you paired with it as well....the little girl wants attention as most of us...

  2. Reads like a set of haiku. You're right about pink...and the last one is perfect.

  3. I liked how you described the color 'pink' with a unique tone and gave it meaningful adjectives. A nice poem. Keep it up! :)
